CHAPTER SEVEN
MAKING THE ESCAPE
Narrator: Meanwhile, as Sarah and Maja were rushing down the parking lot looking for Maja's car...
Sarah: Dito. (as she points out to Maja's black and white Cadillac sitting between a red truck and another car which was dark blue)
Narrator: So as they were running to Maja's shiny Cadillac, a white car turned to the street that letd to the parking lot. It was the same car with the loud rumbling rap music, the one with the gunshots that destroyed Starbucks minutes ago.
The two girls quickly turned back, then to Maja's car.
Sarah: Bilis bilis... (in a loud whisper)
Narrator: So Maja quickly pressed the unlock symbol in her car keys as the doors were unlocked. Before the white car got any closer, the girls hopped inside to avoid being seen.
Seconds later, the car passed by the lot, no gunshots being fired.
Sarah: (seeing the car already disappearing) Wala na sila. Tara na.
Maja: Sige. (as she turns the knob of her car, operating the engines)
Narrator: So at a rapid pace, the Cadillac backed up, and headed out of the lot into the street on the opposite direction the white car came from. The Cadillac sped away afterwards, hoping to find a safe spot to enter where some lights are visible.
